Since discovering photography in my middle school dark room, the camera has been my best tool for seeing life unfold.  I am still amazed by the power of a still photo. I don’t think smartphones and artificial intelligence can come close to an image created by a skilled photographer. There is power in being real.

Any time I have my camera in hand, I seek expression and composition, and most importantly “the decisive moment”. That is what I’d say that sets me apart: knowing when to click. That’s how I capture the soul of a person, animal or product.

A decisive moment is capturing a sweet glance between newlyweds, the look on a child’s face when she is experiencing wonder, when the light hits just right, or a branding photo that makes the product shine. All the above is also what I refer to as “lifestyle photography.”

 

I have photographed over 200 weddings, helped brand businesses on local and international levels,  traveled around the world as a documentary photographer, created headshots that set people apart in a sea of faces, and so much more. I have a deep passion for photography and truly love using my skills to capture the world around me.

I feel comfortable in the studio or on location and have my own professional portable lighting system. I love every minute of my job. I get do to something meaningful for people and brands.

I have a Bachelors in Fine Arts degree from Florida State University. I went to school for Graphic Design for two years at Austin Community college, but, most importantly I have years of hands-on experience meaning I am ready for any moment, any lighting situation or any obstacle.
