One of the most unforgettable weddings I've photographed was a beautiful Terlingua wedding in the heart of West Texas. Located outside Big Bend National Park, it is surrounded by dramatic desert landscapes. The historic ghost town of Terlingua, this unique destination wedding was filled with breathtaking scenery and heartfelt moments.
Sarah and Brian first met at a local running meetup in Big Bend, and it didn't take long for them to fall in love. Choosing to celebrate their wedding near the place where their story began made the day even more meaningful. From the rugged beauty of the Chihuahuan Desert to the unforgettable sunset over the mountains, every moment reflected their adventurous spirit and deep connection.
If you're dreaming of a Big Bend wedding, Terlingua destination wedding, or an intimate West Texas elopement, this incredible location offers one of the most stunning backdrops in Texas.

Two birds appeared at the altar when I went to photograph details. I love symbolism and this was a beautiful omen to Sara and Brian's new life together.

The St. Agnes Church is a historic adobe church built during the early 1900s mercury mining boom to serve local mining families.
When the mines closed and the town was largely abandoned, the church fell into disrepair and was never fully restored. Today, its open-air ruins remain as one of Terlingua’s most iconic landmarks, overlooking the desert near Big Bend National Park and serving as a striking backdrop for weddings and elopements.
If you are intersted in a destination wedding at this historic church, you can reserve here

The day before the wedding, we explored the breathtaking landscapes of Big Bend National Park for Sarah and Brian's engagement session. I've woven the engagement photos throughout their wedding story to capture the anticipation, adventure, and incredible beauty of their unforgettable Terlingua wedding.

This is my first blog on this website. A few years back my site crashed and I lost dozens of posts. I was devastated and starting over has been overwhelming.
I am so excited for Sarah and Brian's wedding to be my first! I have posted A LOT of photos to give you a better sense of what my photos look like throughout the day, not just my best portfolio images. This gives you a better insight of my style which I can describe natural, vivid, true-to-life, no gimmicky filters and a third sense of capturing the most meaningful, beautiful, emotive moments. Not just what a wedding looks like, but what it feels like.

One of my favorite first kiss photos, I love the dramatic movement as Sarah's veil falls away, adding an unforgettable sense of motion and emotion to the moment.

Natural looking portraits of the newlyweds. I adore this part of wedding photography! These are the framers!

I put a lot of emphasis in documenting every guest in authentic candids, but also straight on camera. Preserving the joyous memories of your closest friends and family is essential to any wedding collection.

Documenting the specialy selected details, makes the day feel more tangible when looking back on your special day.

After dark, the iconic blue Pegasus illuminated the desert night, creating a whimsical backdrop beneath one of the darkest skies in Texas.

I couldn’t be happier for this couple. Their wedding was pure perfection, ending under a beautiful, star-filled night sky.

Sarah and Brian were kind enough to have me along for all the weekend festivities! The "Starlight Theatre Restaurant and Saloon" has amazing food, local flavor and music almost every night. Fun fact: the owner is from my hometown, Plantation, FL!

No trip to Terlingua is complete without a visit to "La Kiva," a quirky caved bar and restaurant.

One of the best things about Terlingua is its quirky locals, each with stories to tell, and the friendly stray dogs that roam freely through town, adding to its unmistakable character.

Thank you for reaching the end of this post! I hope you enjoyed this Terlingua tour. If you or anyone you Know is looking for a destination photographer, please share this post and Come Back Soon! "Visit Big Bend"
